Peruvian Violence Addressed from a National Perspectivein Relation to Citizen Security

Abstract

The purpose of this document is to examine the conflict that society faced with the hostile Shining Path group, which challenged state actions and, consequently, the other security systems within it. The approach to the Peruvian violence experienced is carried out indirectly through national aesthetic languages ​​expressed in diverse media: essays, literature, iconic words, and visuals. To the extent that these are expressed, they reveal the pain and violent processes to which the protagonists were subjected. Through the unique examples listed, the need for awareness is evident, in which memory acts as an element of cultural transformation for younger generations, who must not forget the events that occurred. It is concluded that these processes reflect the need for vigilance mechanisms that must operate without abuse or arbitrariness.
