This article aims to demonstrate that corruption – especially in public administration – illicit enrichment, inequality, economic needs, as well as the lack of ethical values of our representatives in local governments; directly harms the economy and stability of the country, from which the vulnerability of human rights originates; it especially affects life, health and fundamental rights. Likewise, it highlights a deep concern about the advance of corruption in all public and private entities at a level of the political, economic and social structure of the country, which generates distrust and lack of reliability in the political class that causes so much damage and seems to be a constant that never ends. It is recommended that the jurisdictional bodies apply more exhaustive control and sanction measures and encourage future research to identify other factors that guarantee the stability of a society with values, with quality education and culture to ensure the sustainable development of the country.
